The Hunter model uses the same single shot falling block lever action used in those historic rifles, and maintains the accuracy and strength that made it so successful in 1885. It features a 28-inch full octagon barrel that’s ideal for accurate shooting and getting the highest possible velocity from the cartridge, improving long range performance. It’s also fitted with a satin finished walnut stock with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, for improved recoil reduction compared to the steel crescent butt plate found on the originals. Drilled and tapped for scope mounts, this classic single shot rifle is perfect for hunters and target shooters who value simplicity, reliability, and making every shot count.
